About me
I’m Tania Buijten, a French-born photographer based in Byron Bay, Australia. I capture stories that breathe, rooted in surf culture, salty skin, sunsets, and soulful moments. Whether on land or underwater, I tell stories shaped by light and the rhythm of the ocean.
When I’m not in the waves, I love meeting new people, traveling, and living for new adventures, whether it’s shooting a documentary or on a sailboat to explore the world.
Underwater is where I feel most alive, no phone, just flow. It’s my meditation, my favorite escape, and where my camera feels like an extension of me.
I’m a visual storyteller who moves beyond content.
Inspired by the ocean and the people who live close to it, I document stories across the world, always chasing emotion, beauty, and soul.
