PHOTOGRAPHER, CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Tania Buijtenhuijs grew up in the Southwest of France, close to the ocean, where her connection to the sea began early, between salty winds, the pines, the tides, and long days spent sailing along the Atlantic coast.

Now based in Byron Bay, Australia, Tania works as a fashion/ surf photographer, blending documentary approaches with a deeply intuitive and visual storytelling style.

As a certified divemaster with a passion for the ocean, she brings a unique ability to capture both land and underwater worlds with authenticity and grace.

From still photography to advertising campaigns, her creative journey has led her to work on numerous projects both locally and internationally, building relationships and collaborating with a wide range of clients, including Billy Bones, Yorey, and Merchant of the Sun, Atmosea. Her work has been featured in Fujifilm Magazine, and she recently had the honour of collaborating with Albert Falzon, the legendary filmmaker behind the cult surf film Morning of the Earth.

She also showcases her work at events such as the Flotsam Film and Surf Festival 2025 on the Gold Coast, Australia sharing her visual storytelling with the community.

Her dedication to her craft has enabled Tania to develop the skills necessary to successfully lead a production from start to finish. From pre-production to filming and post-production, she is capable of managing all aspects of a project.
